Overview chapter - For those that may want to enjoy the rustic accommodations and be one with the park, I have added booking recommendations to all of the lodges in this book. If your travel is not flexible and require specific dates here are the booking recommendations.
Many Glacier Hotel - Up to 16 months in advance. Book by May 1st on the previous year (e.g., 2019 vacation can book May 1, 2018)

For those travelers that book more last minute, remember if at first you don't succeed to get a reservation, don't give up as people sometimes cancel just keep calling back...
East Glacier/Two Medicine Activities - The Bison Reserve that is on the Blackfeet Reservation is between mile markers 214 and 215.
East Glacier/Two Medicine Restaurants - Lunas Restaurant no longer serves their famous Huckleberry pie. They sold their location and recipes (except for the Huckleberry pie) to the new owners The Tropical Grill. I decide to look to the locals and get their recommendations where they go for Huckleberry pie and it was pretty much unanimous that the " Bakery" was the place to go. It is located on zz road, 1/4 mile east of the highway 49 and US Highway 2 junction. Back in business as of 2018 with the new name of "Looking Glass".
The Bison Creek Restaurant, which was a great local eatery has also closed.
Glacier National Park Local History - Glacier National Park after one year has reversed their prediction that the Glaciers will all be gone by 2020. As I indicated in edition 1 that I was highly skeptical of the possibility of that happening, they now went back to the original and long standing prediction of 2030. But like I always say the glaciers will go away when nature wants, so I would still recommend that everyone visit them while they are still impressive...
